Race Horse Surgical Coverage provides reimbursement for surgical procedures that are required or necessary, including post-operative care, as a result of an accident, injury or illness, which first occurs during the policy period. This coverage is subject to a $300 deductible per claim and is available for horses ages 90 days and older. This coverage is available for Thoroughbred and Standardbred race horses. Limits of $5,000 and $7,500 are offered, provided the horse has an insured mortality limit that equals or exceeds the surgical limit.
