Overview

Full Loss of Use coverage provides that in the event your horse suffers an illness or injury, and as a result becomes totally and permanently unfit for its insured use, you will be paid up to 50% of the amount of indemnity due under the mortality policy.

This coverage is available for select uses only. It requires a Full Mortality policy and Equine Medical and Surgical coverage. After a Loss of Use claim has been paid, the Company has the option of taking possession of the disabled horse.

Full Loss of Use is available for horses aged 2 through 12 years. A complete Full Loss of Use veterinary certificate confirming the animal is sound for the stated use is required. Review AEIG’s Loss of Use Submission Guidelines for all submission and eligibility requirements.
