Overview
Surgical Coverage provides reimbursement for surgical procedures that are required or necessary, including post-operative care, as a result of an accident, injury or illness, which first occurs during the policy period. This coverage is subject to a $250 deductible per claim and is available for horses ages 90 days and older. Limits of $5,000, $7,500 and $10,000 are offered, provided the horse has an insured mortality limit that equals or exceeds the surgical limit. Horses that are used or intended to be used for racing are not eligible.
